Selected projects completed in 2024
The past year has been marked by numerous projects designed to address the needs of modern cities, passengers, and drivers.
RGB LED displays at ZKKM bus stops in Chrzanów
As part of the investment project “Construction and modernisation of the ZKKM bus stop infrastructure in Chrzanów”, DYSTEN successfully delivered and installed 28 dynamic RGB LED passenger information displays at bus stops in three municipalities: Chrzanów, Trzebinia and Libiąż. These boards were integrated with the kiedyPrzyjedzie system, enhancing real-time information for passengers.
Key components of the project included:
- Delivery, installation and commissioning of LED RGB real-time passenger information displays.
- Video surveillance systems.
- Power connections and electrical installations.
- Integration with existing technical infrastructure.
Dynamic Passenger Information System devices for railways in 27 cities and municipalities in Poland
DYSTEN played a pivotal role in modernising railway infrastructure by delivering, installing, and commissioning key elements of the Dynamic Passenger Information System (CSDIP) across 37 various locations. Projects covered both passenger stops and small, medium, and large railway stations and depots, all aligned with IPI-6 guidelines. Depending on the needs of the ordering party, DYSTEN provided a complete Dynamic Passenger Information System or individual-oriented components, including: visual information system, voice information system, time signalling system or train traffic sensors.
Passenger information boards – transfer centres in Zabrze
DYSTEN equipped two modern transfer centres – Zabrze Goethego and Zabrze Rokitnica – with real-time passenger information displays, ensuring seamless travel experiences for users. Delivered and installed solutions included:
- platform displays,
- indoor/outdoor LED screens,
- collective RTPI displays,
- information kiosks,
- integration with the GZM regional dynamic passenger information system.
Traffic Management Enhancements: Gliwice Western Bypass and N-S Route in Ruda Śląska
In 2024, DYSTEN supplied traffic management solutions for the region’s key road infrastructure projects — the N-S Route in Ruda Śląska and the Western Bypass of Gliwice. The installations on the N-S Route included variable message signs, motion detection cameras, traffic measurement stations, and inductive loops. Fully integrated with the existing system, these technologies ensure real-time traffic monitoring and streamline communication management for enhanced road efficiency.
On the western bypass of Gliwice, a solution supporting traffic flow and safety has been implemented – the VMS variable message sign, i.e. a dynamic information system for drivers. Both projects combine modern technologies with functionality, increasing driving comfort and strengthening the importance of Silesia’s road infrastructure.
France – LED RGB/TFT LCD real-time passenger information displays
In 2024, DYSTEN continued its successful cooperation with the French partner, delivering over 200 passenger information displays across various locations. The projects encompassed many devices, including bus stop displays, summary boards, and onboard screens.
By utilising both LED RGB and TFT LCD technologies, DYSTEN ensured flexible adaptation of the displays to meet diverse requirements and environmental conditions
Australia – TFT LCD displays at Melbourne tram depot
DYSTEN supplied and installed TFT LCD displays at Melbourne’s tram depot and maintenance facilities, operated by Yarra Trams — the world’s largest tram network. The devices support drivers and technical staff, facilitating traffic and fleet management.
Strategically positioned, the displays provide employees with quick access to essential information, including tram locations, timetables, and track plans, enhancing operational efficiency.
Belgium – information displays for tram passengers
As part of the cooperation with the Belgian partner, DYSTEN provided TFT LCD real-time passenger information displays for tram stops.
- The Text-to-Speech (TTS) feature ensures accessibility for blind and visually impaired individuals, providing real-time information about tram schedules.
- The displays offer real-time data thanks to seamless integration with the operator’s systems, ensuring full synchronisation and continuous updates with the tram operator’s infrastructure.
