2021 European Year of Railways

The railways account for less than 0.5 percent. greenhouse gas emissions related to transport in the European Union. It is the most ecological public transport. That is why the European Commission’s initiative “2021: European Year of Rail” aims to promote rail transport as sustainable, smart and safe. The initiative is intended to contribute to achieving climate neutrality by 2050, i.e. to achieve the main goal of the Green Deal.
