1999
That year, the DYSTEN company was established.
Dysten is also known as kyanite (cyanite) that is a mineral and a variety of silicate. There is a reason why the company’s logo is blue. The “cyanite” name comes from the Greek kyanos = blue. “Dis” in Greek means “twice”, while “sthenos” means “strength, power” and refers to the variable hardness of the discussed mineral. The dual power is expressed, inter alia, in the company’s push for development, which is confirmed by the timeline provided below. -
2000
As a producer of LED screens and scoreboards, the company acquired almost 80% of the sports market. Scoreboards and displays started being installed in stadiums, pitches, sports halls, and even ice rinks. The company started specializing in adapting devices to almost every sports discipline, such as volleyball, basketball, football, handball, hockey, and tennis.

2003

2004
Dysten became the representative of Colorado Time Systems – a timing system for swimming pools utilized during swimming, diving, water polo, and synchronized swimming competitions. It entered the swimming pool market by supplying the Colorado system, swimming pool scoreboards, and LED screens.

2005
DYSTEN implemented a project for the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), producing and installing a full-color external ticker displaying stock market quotations above the entrance to the building. An internal display, almost 19 meters long, was installed in the New Connect trading room. Thanks to this project, the company entered the financial industry.

2006
The new TVN24 Business News studio was equipped with a specialized information presentation system made by opting for the LED technology supplied by DYSTEN. Another industry started to be interested in the technology provided by the manufacturer from Zabrze.

2008
Entering the Dynamic Passenger Information Systems market – the first large SDIP installation in Gdansk.
DYSTEN became a certified SCALA partner, which had been the first company in the world to introduce dynamic digital communication systems enabling users to create remotely managed information channels via the Internet.

2009
The launch of the audio department responsible for the installation of professional sound systems in concert halls, theaters, operas, community centers, cinemas, music clubs, as well as in sports facilities and at train or bus stations.

2010
Thanks to the efforts of the JAGRO EDH company with its seat in Gliwice, the scoreboards produced by DYSTEN appeared on the courts of the Wimbledon tennis tournament. LED displays were also used by the contracting authority during tennis tournaments taking place around the world.

2011
Commencement of the construction of the company’s new headquarters – an administrative and office building and a production hall in Zabrze at Grunwaldzka 91 Street. The aim of the investment was to create an attractive place for running the business. The construction was carried out thanks to co-financing from EU funds granted within the framework of the “Innovative economy” program.

2012
Entering the Middle East market by implementing a project based on supplying equipment for 50 sports facilities of the Ministry of Education in Kuwait. Multisport scoreboards with referee panels were provided.

2013
Signing a long-term cooperation agreement with a German partner for the supply of passenger information displays in LED technology to the representatives of the German market. To date, DYSTEN’s SDIP LED displays have been installed in such cities as: Heilbronn, Westerland, Fuldatal, Forchheim, Fritzlar, Bebra, Rosenheim, Korbach, Nurnberg, Hanau, Xanten, Offenburg, Gottingen, Bocholt, Ludwigsburg, Frickenhausen, Ditzingen, and Troisdorf. More orders keep coming in.

2015
Entering the railway market. DYSTEN, as the producer of passenger information displays, became a part of the pilot project of PKP Inc., within the framework of which it supplied displays for 60% of the constructed system stations. Tailor-made electronic passenger information boards not only fit into the designer’s concept and the space intended for these devices, but also met the detailed guidelines of PKP Inc. regarding dynamic passenger information displays. As a part of the investment, a complete system of voice and visual passenger information was created, along with an intuitive system management software.

2018
DYSTEN won one of the biggest tenders for dynamic passenger information systems in Europe. The company will make 460 passenger information displays for KZKGOP (currently the Metropolis of Upper Silesia and Zagłębie). Said contract is currently one of the largest in Europe: 29 cities, devices to be installed at bus and tram stops, devices inside vehicles, and a system for 4 million inhabitants, which is an extension of a passenger information system created many years earlier, for which passenger information displays were also provided by DYSTEN.

2019
The company released the initial parking displays and variable message signs produced, thus expanding the offer of devices for intelligent transport systems.

2020
Railway devices manufactured by DYSTEN were among the first ones to successfully complete the process of implementation tests of Polish Railway for the IPI-6 CSDIP passenger information devices. A positive result meant that the devices could be connected to the CASDIP system and used within the railway network of PKP PLK Inc. without any limits whatsoever.

2021
DYSTEN joined the group of railway industry producers with their quality confirmed by the international IRIS certificate. IRIS certification was yet another strategic step in the company’s development, aimed at entering foreign markets.
