Real-time passenger information system<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

DYSTEN became the general contractor of the project for the development of the Passenger Information System in the Upper Silesian Zag\u0142\u0119bie Metropolis, contributing at the same time to the development of the SMART CITY concept for this region. The tender turned out to be one of the largest in Europe considering the scale of the scope of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scope of work<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As the general contractor, DYSTEN provided the following taks for the Real-time Passenger Information System:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. 460 dynamic passenger information boards<\/strong> displaying departure times in real time in this round of tender, over 60 in the previous pilot. The boards present the line number, direction of travel and the current departure time of the vehicle. The bottom line shows additional information, such as announcements from the public transport operator or information on air quality. The boards are also equipped with monitoring cameras and a voice information button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Portal for passengers<\/strong> \u2013 sdip.metropoliaztm.pl<\/a> presenting all passenger travel data in real time – which means that the arrival time of each bus, tram and trolleybus at each stop is precisely determined. All factors causing delays (traffic jams, weather conditions) are automatically recalculated so that the information provided to passengers is as real as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. M2GO info mobile application<\/strong>, which will help passengers plan their trip on their smartphone. Aplication M2Goinfo<\/a> shows the location of vehicles and stops on the map. It allows you to check the actual departure time of vehicles from the stop and search for connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Traffic control system <\/strong>installed in the Traffic Management Center for effective management of public transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Client<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Zarz\u0105d Transportu Metropolitarnego<\/a> (ZTM) oraz G\u00f3rno\u015bl\u0105sko Zag\u0142\u0119biowska Metropolia<\/a> (GZM Metropolis).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ZTM is the largest transport organizer in Poland. ZTM serves an area of 56 cities and communes, covering an area of 2,500 km2, connecting the most important centers of the Silesian Voivodeship. There are 1,500 buses, trams and trolleybuses running in Silesia every day. 460 lines serve 7,000 stops, covering over 100 million kilometers annually. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
